Re: London motorshow
Bit late now, Sunday was the last day of the show.
Personally I thought that the show was a bit of a let down, wasn't much to see apart from the Supercars in the Times section and the Heritage section was good. All the other bits seemed just like what I can see in my local dealers. Have been to five or six British motor shows now and each year the number of manufacturers gets less and less, BMW, Audi/VW being notable by their absence this year. I really wouldn't have wanted to pay £25 to get in this year. |

Re: London motorshow
Missed it.
Shame too as I still love noseing around sparkly new cars big and small. The fact it is alot of what you can see at your local dealer is perfect because I get little time to visit dealers and hate being hassled if I do. Somewhere to look at everything without a salesman trying to pin you in the shop or the guilt trip of driving out the carpark only to pull in at the rival next door is something I quite relish. I really love the idea of the dock setting as well only, well I wish it was somewhere that wasn't an absolute pain the preverbials to get to by CAR. My parents wanted to go but couldn't get into the carpark as the exhibitors got there first. Not an issue until I told them they couldn't see the BMW's, Audi's and Merc's all in the same place. Yes BMW Goodwood is important BUT not everyone will pay £45 a ticket just to get into your stand! grr Anyway I understand the Alfa stand looked brilliant with all the cars in matching metallic red! Any pix anyone? |

Re: London motorshow
Actually Excel is really really easy to get to by car, normally I go to London by train (live in kent) and it takes about an hour and costs £10. Excel is outside the conjestion charge, took 40 minutes to get to (Excel is about 1 hour 30 by the time you get off the mailine and onto the DLR) and cost about £10 in fuel for 4 of us. Is a very easy drive and there was loads of parking even though the Red Bull Air Race was on at the same time.

For us it's 3hrs+ or £40-60 in fuel depending on which Warp Factor we're travelling at ![]() |

Re: London motorshow
i was there on the last saturday, the company i work for had a stand and i was given two tickets. i thought it was ok, funnily enough, i probably spent the most time looking at the honda motorbikes! i got a few photos with my 400d, but it was quite crowded so there was always a lot of people in them.
as for getting there.. i thought it was really easy! m25, m11 a few roundabouts and that was it! |
