Thumbs up My new banger car (pic added)

It's 998cc, 4 speed, 2 door "coupe" (if todays naming system is the be believed), it's red, and classic insurance is £130 fully comp!
(and it's not really a banger, it just needs some work doing to it, and a respray )

I would be insanely jealous if I could actually fit in one of the damn things (too tall)

My gf will be jealous if she sees the pic though

No offence Josh, but why do you keep buying old bangers? Are you doing them up and selling them for a profit?

    No, I wish

I had the Scirocco because it was the cheapest car with leather and I thought it was cool. But there was no point me having 2 cars as insurance, tax etc was still quite expensive. (I made -£180 on this, as I foolishly taxed it for a full year)

Then I had a diesel Rover because I wanted to run it on veggie oil, which was cheap, but insurance was too expensive to justify having 2 cars. (I made about -£17 on this as I bought a haynes manual and included it with the car when I sold it)

And now I have a mini, and tax and insurance are cheap (£120 / £130 per year), so it's cheap enough to justify having a second car for town driving.

The Passats great - very quick - comfy - great on long journeys - but BIG - and mostly used by my wife - so if I want to just pop somewhere or use it at lunchtime I can just take the mini instead. The mini is so much fun, plus it's a good investment.
