is it worth it??
been offered a brand new kit to add an external temperature sensor to me car.. it'd fill the only blanker on the dashboard and look pretty bling (well, for a volvo anyways). just wondering if its worth £50
![]() its being sold as a kit with another gauge (econometer - basically a turbo boost gauge for a n/a car) but i've already got one of these adn dont think they'd fetch much.. any of you got one of these? worth the cash??

hmmm, not sure i'd care how hot it was outside the car as long as inside was nice and the engine not overheating. As such, I generally use the 'that looks f'in cold out there, wheres me jumper' or the 'blimey, sunny in the UK' approach by looking out the windows
![]() saying that, nice toy if it fills a gap on the dash. Worth £50 for looks ? Nox |

Much as I like my external temp guage in the Mondeo, I must have used it in a non 'Look at this, isn't that cool?' sense about twice.
If it wasn't there I wouldnt pay £50 to add it. ![]() BMW 530i Sport | Ford Mondeo Ghia X RSAP |

Hmm well if i didnt have it built in i certainly wouldnt pay £50 extra just to get temperature, or the average speed, or the current and average MPG or the estimated miles left till tank empty. Handy if its there for free but not worth paying for
