1 month's car insurance... with who?

Currently I have a 12-month policy on my car with Tesco Finance, and it's due to expire on 14th June.

I am moving abroad and so I'll be looking to sell my car around the middle of July, so I just need exactly one month's insurance - Tesco can't extend my policy by a month, and only do 12-month policies.

So... anyone recommend any companies that do monthly insurance that have good customer service?
I can't imagine the prices will vary a huge amount, so cost is not the main criteria (it's only a Y-reg 206LX), I would prefer to deal with a company who are easy to talk to.

~ I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. ~

You cpould always get a 12 month policy and then cancel it. I've heard that Tescos are normally oretty good like that.

    Don't know about others though.

I know with NU if you take out a 12 month policy, then cancel it after 1 month they will refund your 11 months that you've paid for. Same with road tax i beleive?

Plus i'm pretty certain the NU do 6 month policies, but not sure about one month ones.

Quite often you'd get 10 months worth back - i.e. they keep some of the cash

What I forgot to say is that they should refund you even if you claim.

I had a friend who had tesco insurance, wrote off his brand new 206 a couple of years ago and they refunded him the rest of the policy when he found that it was cheaper to insure his mini elsewhere.

I asked Admiral when I got a quote and they say that they charge a £30 cancellation charge.

That would be a US site, and not much use to a UK-based poster...
