Dual insurance? I just phoned up Norwich Union who are my current insurer and inquired about a weeks insurance on my parents C3. They cannot add me to their insurance because it's some company who doesn't like under 50's ![]() Anyway, we did this last year but for the Focus instead. When I asked them just 5 minutes ago though they said they cannot do it because it would mean the car had dual insurance policies against it. Since when did this come into effect then? I am about to ring Tesco and maybe a few others and see if it's the same story everywhere...

Wtf? All your parents have to do is insure you as a named driver. Thats what mine did. Dunno wtf all this dual insurance gubbins is. BTW - i tried to get quotes from norwitch union for me gramp. Let us just say - they did not quote us happy, and they were on the news a day later about not quoting lots of people happy. Steer cleeer. I use tescos. An im faitful to them as theyre the only company that gave me a good quote on an Audi RS2 which is group 20. Only £1500/year! Butuz

Insurers don't fo insurance for a week. They do it by the month, quarter or year. The way your gonna get it is by getting it for a month then changing it back and getting a refund of the difference for the unused period.

Phoned up my insurance ( Tesco ) as Ive just sold the car, and dont fancy paying £100 a month I was paying for the Integra. Asked them if I could change the insurance to my fathers car that I will be driving until I find a new car even though I was insured on his policy. They said thats no problem.
