    Agonising wait!

Well yesterday my local Alfa specialist called me to tell me about a car which had just arrived. I was there half an hour later

Went back today and had a better look and longer test drive, and left a deposit. I'm now the proud owner of...

She's in absolutely mint condition; no wheel kerbing, no door dents from car parks, 2 tiny stone chips on the bonnet which are being taken care off, and an imaculate interior (black Momo leather, natch). Only 18 months old with another 18 months Alfa main dealer warrenty to go. And the best bit? One lady owner

    *chuffed*

But gotta wait until mid October before I can collect it, and then wait till the 25th till I can get insurance

    My name is Simon

Nice Shad, Congrats - i know how good it is to pick up a car that you've been really lookign forward too, i'm sure you won't be disappointed and maybe the wait will make it all the more special.

What so crunching through the gears, never having warmed up the engine properly cus of short slow journies and probably never stressing the car properly at all is all good?

    Meh thinks not.

Engine stress? Leave it with me for a month

But seriously, it's a good thing imo because everything is tidy and ship shape. I don't know how the engine's been treated, but I still wouldnt know how the engine's been treated if it had a male owner. The important bits are the full service history and the fact I intend to treat it right.

Mmmmmmmm. Alfa 147 Lovely looking car and the colour really suits it.

Why do you have to wait until October though? This must be the longest month of your life

B'cos that's when the rest of the money arrives. Also, I can't get insured on it until the 25th (afaik it's a years' no claims at the end of your first year of insurance rather than first year of having a licence?).

Gotta sell the Clio in the mean time... will probably end up car less for a couple of weeks
