I'd be interested to let Zak loose in the Clio. I think it'd scare him with how bad it is though. Very flimsy, lots of low end grunt and shocking rear tyres.

The Older MR2 turbo's are all imports they never sold them here, and they make the new MR2 look like a fiesta deisil in the performance department, there not too bad to insure either. Some have 220 odd bhp some have 240. Either way your talking under 6seconds to 60 and handles like a go cart.

Go for it swafeman make your car dreams come true now before they ban fast cars.

    Computer says No.

Gotta be careful with older Turbo MR2s. Mid engine+RWD means it can be slightly unpredictable and great up until the limit... but should you experience the limit or push it you'll be needing a new change of underwear.

Especially so in the wet! Oh, and they weigh a lot considering. Go check the kerb weight - it'll suprise you.

I dont trust MR2 turbos cos frankly I'm not good enough driver for them. Waaaay too much power to get wrong in a mid engines car. Dont get me wrong...itsa top top car. But scary if you get it out of shape.

The early turbos were real animals. They modified the suspension on the later cars to make them a bit friendlier to people with normal driving abilities. Apparently the earlier cars can be hustled faster if you have godlike driving skills though.

I've spun my (Mk1) MR2 twice, although only the first one really took me by surprise (wet roundabout, rubbish tyres). The second I was asking for.

At the end of the day they are rear wheel drive sports cars, not scrabble waggon shopping trolleys - like all sports cars they need to be driven with care, your right foot is what controls whether you spin or not, not the car. Are go carts FWD??? No???? Then i stand by my statement
