    CD Player with Audio In

Was wondering if you can get CD players with Audio In. Reason being i want to run the audio out from my MP3 player though the CD player and then out through the cars speakers. Just like you can do with a normal cassette player only you need the special cassette to do it.

I know you can get kits for certain CD Players which will allow you to connect your IPOD to the CD player, but my MP3 player is not an IPOD. Does a more generic sort of device exist for non-ipod based mp3 players?

Im not looking to pay more than £120 for a car CD player. What would you recommend if such a player exists. Even if they don't exist at that price range I'd still appreciate some guidance as to what to get. Im not wised up on in car CD players.

Final note im looking for it to be MP3 Compatible. The one im currently looking at (failing to get one that allows MP3-player Audio through put) is this one. It seems to have pretty much everything on it at a good price and its had 2 good reviews so far. What do you think?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that im planning on installing the cd player into a base Ford KA (with that pathetic 3chan radio/cassette player). I've been told that because of the proprietary design of the radio that’s in the car i will need an adaptor which will allow me to install a rectangular or normal shaped CD player. Is this true and where could i get hold of such an adaptor?

    Thanks

yeah most do. you normally need a cable and it'll come out the back of the player into the glovebox..

Thanks for your replies so far guys. Will i also need a special bracket to hold the player in the housing? Or would it just be the fascia and the power adapter that id need?

I would have thought an ipod adapter would work with any MP3. I guessed it was just a phono to 3.5mm cable. So basically allowing you to output the mp3 player but still controlling through mp3 player

np. personally i prefer it coming out the back, i found with it out the front it can tangle with the gearstick or just look scruffy, but it is omre convinient

Personally I also prefer it coming out the back. That way you can hide the ipod somewhere like the glovebox.
