    Parking Lights

Can someone just confirm to me what a parking light is.

I know on most Vauxhalls if you take the keys out and put the indicator on, it will put 2 sidelights on, front and back. i.e. right indicator, will illuminate the drivers side front and back sidelights.but the passenger lights will stop off.

I walked past a police car last night, Ford Focus, and cheekily told them that they had a sidelight out. Now to my knowledge... Ford Focus' dont have parking lights and parking lights illuminate the edge of the car that is at risk to traffic..... The Ford Focus police car had the passenger front side light out.... with both the rear lights on and only the drivers side front side light....

I think the copper was bull****ting. He gave me some abuse as I walked off... so i walked back and took down his badge number from his shoulder which he didn't like
