Just picked up an XR4x4 to run around in. 83K on the clock and garaged most of it's life, everything left as standard.
I'll miss having an estate from day to day, but this ended up the best option for the mo. Should be nice in the B roads to have the 4x4 there and not be shaken to death like I am in the other estate! ![]() |

[copied from my thread]
Here's my two cars.. Firstly, my every day car. It's a 1982 VW Golf GTI, with a turbocharged 1.8 litre 8 valve engine, pushing over 200bhp. The car weighs 866kg, so it goes pretty well. Pics here ![]() ![]() Second, my weekend toy.. Built for the track, it's a 1972 mini 1000.. with a tweaked metro turbo engine, a 1.3 litre turbocharged 5 port. It's quite a laugh, if a bit scary. Torque steer is emmense. It's not been set up properly on a rolling road yet (as I'm poor) but I'm hoping for at least 150bhp with it. Pics here And more pics here ![]() ![]() I think I'm a bit stupid for having no 'real' car to get me about - but meh, I like the worry of breaking down everywhere I go.. ![]() Any other mini/vw fans on here? |

No idea of the power, but it's at least 150bhp at the wheels. Goes like stink ![]() |
