    Mitsubishi Colt: Your opinions please!

Well, im thinking about getting one of these next year some time now that I am earning.

I've seen a number of really nice ones on Autotrader and the thought of getting a Saxo has gone straight out the window!

Bear in mind i aint into the whole completly over the top thing but a bit of trim here and there and some alloys goes nicely on the Colt.

Heres one that I've been looking at and I really like...

    See here

Anyone other pics of nice looking colts would be appreciated aswell as any advice and opinions.

    Ben

Mate if your gonna get a 1.6, get the 106gti, there quite rare so u wont look like a towny saxo driver, and there beautiful hatches, doubt many (if any) will dissagree if i said there the nicest hot hatch you can buy.

Driven a friends 1.8 GLXI I think it is, a fair few times and it goes very well indeed. You do need to give it a lot of revs to get it going, but most cars are like that anyway.

Never driven a 106 1.6 so can't compare, but I would have the colt over a saxo anyday.

Very bad depreiciation, so don't buy new. Main dealers are few and far between, and servicing is expensive.

    Personally, I think it's ugly!

i'd say, go buy the civic, try and get a 1.5 vetec as they let more air be released into the engine at higher revs, giving u an extra burst of speed, lovely ;x

I learnt to drive in a colt - ok to drive but I wouldn't buy one.

Don't remember what specs it was (it was about 3 years ago)

    Colt....

but lets face facts...it suffers like my Vauxhalls do..form old boy image.

    HOWEVER......built to last eternally.

You wanna know what to buy? You'll never find a good enough 106 GTi 16v for sensible money......if ya do, and you can afford to insure it....cool.

Dont like Saxo's cos they are 10-a-penny

Which leaves ya with only about 4 million other cars

    Megane...? Good crash test results
Golf...? not a mk3 1.4 or 1.6 cos the gearbox sucks, BUT a newer style one or a Mk3 1.8 Driver?
    Clio...ever popular
Focus 1.4 1.6? good drivers car.
