Car alarm with keyless entry and remote start
Hey All
Was just after a bit of advise to be honest, i'd like to get a Cat 1 alarm/immobilser with keyless entry and remote start and was wondering who are the main reputable players to be looking at? After a initial search i did come accross the Clifford. "Clifford Intelliguard 950 Brand new, the 950 is the UK's best Thatcham approved alarm and immobiliser system. Compatible with most of the G4 accessories including Intellistart. Packed with loads of features including dual zone proximity sensing, tilt and motion sensing, one carbon style 5 button remote control with built-in blue LED and one carbon style 4 button remote control, remote control central locking or total closure (subject to vehicle) Blackjax anti-hijacking, door, boot and bonnet protection and 120db battery back-up siren with a choice of tones. Lifetime warranty (subject to terms and conditions) with free fitting available at home or at work. "Free IntelliStart with every 950 purchased while stocks last!" But the price seems to be quiet steep from what i can tell approx £500 ? Is there anything that does the same but at a bit more resonable cost, i'm prepared to save and wait if the clifford really is that good quality, but are there other manufacturers i should be looking at? It's to go on my Golf TDi 02 plate. Many thanks for any suggestions. p.s really want the remote start

Thanks for the reply mate.
ok so i'm thinking i can do without the remote start at that price , but even for a alarm+immobiliser with remote central locking surly must be something more reasonable, any other companies i should be looking at as well ?

I must confess i have no idea about cars i'm afraid i would need to get it fitted, but that toad systems looks excellent and is much more affordable
.What are you'r guys thoughts on this ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VIPER-771XV-PA...QQcmdZViewItem A viper system with remote start, £199 only disadvantage i can see is it's not Thatcham approved.
