Its a *real shame if this is the case.

I had an IIyama 18.1" TFT and it was one of the best I have ever had - it rocked. When I had a problem with it they came and sorted it - I then had another issue with Thunderflies - I went to see them, and they stripped it, cleaned it, and rebuilt it when I was waiting.

Their latest CRTs have been total garbage in my experience.

ya - as you know i still use an IIYAMA VisionMaster Pro 450, and i've still got one of the original monitors which iirc 'made' IIYAMA's name here in the UK - the 17" IIYAMA VisionMaster 8617A.

Their old aperture grill CRTs were absolutely superb though they were based on Diamondtron/Trinitron technology.

Their TFTs are a bit "blah".

Only used their customer services once - but they were absolutely superb - they fell over themselves to answer prompty, provide me with exactly the right technical information I wanted, were prepared to instantly collect and return my monitor (used to have one of their TFTs).

Shame if they're going to close - always had a soft spot for Iiyama.

I believe they started out as a fairly local company to me, at least I think it was Iiyama, in a town just down the road named Stevenage. Stevenage also ranks 49th out of 366 districts for lone parents and has one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancy in the Eastern Region Looking at their site, indeed they are!

Anyway, will be a shame to loose such a big manufacturer!

I do know, and I wouldn't call it 'using'. More like suffering and horrific eye torture, because it's completely shagged. I'm buying you a new monitor for Christmas, because that Pro 450 is in a criminal state

    OH NOES!

That's a shame to hear. Iiyama customer service rocked!

I guess they couldn't keep up in the TFT race... their CRTs were ace, I still have a VM Pro 410 but I replaced it with a Dell 2005FPW a couple of months ago. And maybe that's why they're calling it a day - us loyal customers turned out to be not so loyal!
