Thumbs up HEXUS.beans :: NVIDIA set to launch GeForce 7800 GS AGP

Seems that core NVIDIA partners are set to inject a healthy dose of ‘customer centric’ love into those of us still running AGP mainboards...

How true actually. So will I. I hate ATi and Nvidia now for what they have done to AGP.

Im glad about the possibility of a 7800 AGP. I have been iffin and ummmin about upgrading my 5900XT but realise that to future proff im gonna need a new MB/CPU GFX power supply etc which is gonna cost much more so to see a AGP version of the 7800 is a kinda relief that I can now concentrate on a good card and upgrade my memory without replacing everything and slowley bring in a new power supply etc! Im not sure that the 7800 AGP version would touch the PCI-E for performance but its a 7800!

Why do ATi and nVidia have to pretend that AGP is not good enough for the latest cards.

The 6800GS and this one are crippled cards. Why can we just not have the latest and greatest on AGP? They just want to sell motherboards the c*n*s!

The bandwidth of AGP is nowhere near used up.
