fcb, got to be a good sign that they contacted the cc co. though it would have been nice to have contacted you also.

If the warrenty was included in the price, and something should go wrong with the pc (should you get it back, hope you do) and savastore won't/can't honour it, then you can claim off your credit card Co. to get it fixed/replaced as they are jointly responsible.

Goog luck, and let us know if savastore return the pc

vinnyT No, I left it to the credit card company to do the chasing because I had no sensible contact names at Savastore. The Cc will have to pay me if my computer doesn't turn up so their chasing wil be better than mine. Yu are right also that the CC willhave to cover the warranty if Savastore don't.
Unfortunately these things usually take 2 to 3 months to sort out so will be a while yet before I know if my optimism is misplaced. Will keep in touch

Picked up my repaired computer from Watford Luton address this afternoon
Peter McCorkindale sent me e-mail Tuesday saying they had delivery from City Courier last thursday, my computer was fixed and ready to be picked up. This was at the request of my credit card company

I met him. Very helpful guy. He reckons there are still some items not yet delivered. There is no sign yet of Watford or whatever they are called opening for business. There is no stock available to them. My repair I think was just a loose internal hard drive wire.

I think best bet for most is to claim of the credit card company otherwise give Peter a call

They seem to have re-opened as saverstore.com.

Ok they have changed their name from savastore to saverstore. I have tried to contact them for getting my faulty landisk back and they are still ignoring email enquiries.
Does any one have any advice or contacts. Credit card protection is no good as the item was under £30.00.
Still no update on their web site regarding people who sent goods back for replacement.

Its not the same Co. anymore, so I would not expect anything to be the same, they have been sending me loads of e-mails and even snail mail asking if I want to cash in some of the 1000's of sava points I have.

But TBH I dont trust them any more and doubt that I will give them any more money, which is a shame as I watched them grow from a small shed like building on the side of their house in the early 1980's. I got my Z80 second processor for my modded BBC from them and a pair of five and a quarter DSDD 800k Winchester's for £800 (a quid per K !) in the later '80's and built many a rig with their stuff, but not again.

I gave them a lot of money and trade over the years but would not have anything to do with them now, because I see they are happy to screw their customers.

Ive been trying to get my landisk back which i sent to savastore in feb2007 as it arrived dead on arrival. I recently wrote to the administrator who were very helpful. They assisted in contacting saverstore. I had to then make contact myself via email to saverstore. The process has been so slow. Finally this week i got my landisk back.
They were suppose to send me back my original dead on arrival landisk then i contact the manufacturer direct for repairs or replacement. They seem to have sent me a landisk which works perfect with the updated firmware.

So glad that i have finally got a result

Glad you got a good result, decided never to trade with them a long time ago. They are either incompetent or just silly crooks. Reckon jury is still out on that.

I lost my Redten connection for about 3 hours earlier. I had just started fearing the worst - did anyone else experience the same?

Hiya, just registered after finding this thread off googly.

I have been having abit of trouble with saverstore,

I bought a monitor from them back about 2 years ago, and now I need the proof of purchase from them to claim warrenty of the monitor as it has developed a fault. iiyama wants the proof of purchase emailed to them, so thought let me login to my account at savastore obvious now saverstore but ive forgotten my login details completely.

I send them a support ticket asking can I change my details etc, so that I can get into the account and access my past order.

They say sorry you cann get access to your past orders unless you know the order number...

I dont have the box or invoice of the monitor because it was over 2 years ago !!.

I sent a stinking one back saying they must be able to trace it somehow with my name and address which it was posted too, if they can bring a up a past order from a order number, then they can query their system with my details to find the damn order number !!.

anyone else had this from them ?

now just got to wait and see what they say

Nizmo, sweet talk iiyami, if its developed a fault, explain who you bought it from etc.

I did this when at uni i had to get my old vdu serviced, Iiyami where very nice about it, once I calmly and charmingly explaned the problem. (thou a friend who was listening to me on the phone did liken it to hannible lecter)
