    Case of opening the gate after it's sneaked out the back anyway?

    I can see their concern though - it's vital that they get this right for the majority of users (even if the blame lies with third party driver devs).

    BTW I love people who use phrases like "super-clear"

    Improve customer use with Vista? Will it install XP then automatically?

    "Windows Vista SP1 is final. It has been fully released to manufacturing and we do not plan to make any changes to the SP1 code prior to public availability. "

    so why wait until march to give it to us?

    Because *some* third party drivers have had *some* problems with it. They're being careful - something to encourage rather than deride.

    Code:
    while (notusingmybrain != FALSE)
    {
       If (postcontent.Matches("Vista"))
      {
          post "use xp/vista crap/blah blah"
       }
    }
    I feel we ought to just automate these things now - I hate to feel people are wasting precious time posting things like that
