many years ago a young man looking for a graphics card broke into a ship yard looking for a meal for his family..unable to find anything he killed 3 voodoo3 graphics cards and brought them to his family..that was their dinner that night

I can’t afford £1,200 worth of graphics card because after 6 years of research in the field I have gained crucial understanding on one of the greatest mysteries that man has faced since the dawn of time. I am talking about of course, ‘the brownie points system’. Having been a computer enthusiast for as long as I can remember, buying new computer hardware has been essential for meeting the important goals in life i.e. having the best rig out of all your mates. However, having been in a long term relationship for six years now (that would be the 6 years of field research…) I have noticed a distinct correlation between buying computer parts (pounds sterling), and losing my better half’s affection, love and lunch making (brownie points). Obviously not wanting to end my relationship I soon had to adapt; the Core2Duo when I wanted a Quad Core, a 6600gt instead of two 6800gt’s, eventually even a Phenom II instead of a Core i7. Times were hard; it was a constant struggle between having the ultimate machine or consistent lunch, dinner or equal share of duvet. With winter on the doorstep I am yet again at the crossroads, only possessing currently a 5770, something more powerful will need to be added to my system to keep me entertained through the oncoming storms. So Hexus, I can’t afford £1,200 worth of graphics card because (and I’m pretty sure this applies for most blokes in a long term relationship) it would throw me from the ‘Black’ and into the Red (Did you know that there is a high interest overdraft for brownie points?) and it takes a long time to get back to Black, never mind Brown!
