    Interclan 4v4 on de_dust

As the title suggest, we managed a 4v4 last night (well 5v4 for the last few rounds...). Well I quite enjoyed it, and I didn't play that bad this time! Ideally it'd be 5v5 but it's better than nothing, and at a more appropriate skill level that getting pwned by another clan in a pcw.

We had the comment that de_dust is never played in matches but it was good to get away from dust2. We've had a pcw on nuke before (which was the first time on the map for some people), so a list of 'official' maps hexus will play and layout pictures with locations for calling would be handy. The ones on csclan.hexus.net and ED seem out of date.

The other team didn't have a caller which really showed when they were playing as Ts. I don't mind calling for a second team, or should everyone take turns to build experience?

Responses to the above and other comments please Lets get better!

Yep, was good to get away from Dust2, I think the best way to get used to the official maps would just be to have a few friendly get togethers on each map, say one map per night. Play a few rounds, swap sides play a few more rounds as the opposite side, and then at the end have a interclan match on that map we were just playing. This should get used to the various maps.

what are our maps that were playing anyway? im guessing dust2, aztec, train, nuke?

As for my personal experience, i have quite a good experience of all the maps by playing public servers, exceptions of those that are rarely played like militia i havnt really played for a decent length of time, not that it matters. But have zero experience of playing them at a match/competitive perspective. From comparing my Public server experinces with the mixes, the tactics arnt a whole lot different to what you would be normally doing, just having to rely on flashes alot more, and getting past the fact that its just a whole lot harder when there are only 5 people a side! Partly because of the need to cover all the map, and lack of money one you start missing kills, and dieng. You have to be VERY aware of whats going on.

So yes, basically i just think we need to get used to the different style of play by meeting as often as possible and playing the various maps, after that the tactics are pretty obvious, but i think playing friendly, but in a serious way will be the fastest way of learning.

Was good fun, although, dust is hard on matches, far to CT orientated, if you get a team with even half a clue as T then it hard work, but it is good fun all the same .

Yea 5 v 5 is better but we don't seem to be able to get a turnout whatsoever. I make matches for when 13 people says they can make that day the most and only 3 turned up.... Not good enough in my opinion. The people i see this week will be the people in the new team. All the others will be deleted.

I will try and get layout of maps put up but im going to uni on monday and as such i have a lot of stuff to do so bare with me.

    Maps to practice on are

    Nuke
    Aztec
    Inferno
    Mill
    Dust 2
    Cbble
    Prodigy

    They should do for now

I would like everyone to take turns calling to see who has a knack for it. I suck but no one else wants to do it so i have to do it for now.

I would reccomend everyone to start getting fimiliar with all the maps now though. Don't keep playing the same one.

I will post rules up soon for people to follow in the clan.
