We Need A Head Of Tactics
Hello Guys!
Well ill get to the point, we need someone (preferebly in the clan) to take up tactics for our team. Basically they need to find tactics for our team for pcw's etc. Upon finding suitable tactics they need to call practices so as to try out these tactics and see how effective they can be. WOuld be handy if they could be on TS telling everyone what to do. Any volunteers? these ppl will obviously have quite an active role in the clan and will need to start immediatly. Neo

Its a good idea, and whoever take it on will be revered by all. I would love to do it, but i have my A2's coming up, starting a small buinness and a relationship all going on at the moment. I dont mind helping the person rally the troops though

I agree that we could do with a person to handle tactics in matches - but I also feel that we need to have more PCW's to allow everyone to get more match experience and improve everybody's tactics. For me, an obvious requirement for match tactics is a considerable amount of match experience, not just plays a lot of CS, as the tactics in public rounds and match rounds are vastly different (e.g. I don't consider myself to be a viable candidate because I've played about 3/4 pcw's in total, even though I have put >60 hours CS time on our server alone).
Also, how do we sort out tactics if the person is unable to play? Do we cancel the match or promote somebody else etc? We really, really need to get more PCW's played - if we can set a target of 3/4 a week then we will improve a vast amount, but it is just arranging them that could be a problem. I don't know how Daymonkey feels about this, but from what I saw last night it seems he wants a break from CS, so we may need somebody else (Or ask somebody on each day on irc) to sort out one (two is even better) pcw's on a night. A few positives from last night: 1) We got 7 people online at one time - very good IMO. 2) A few people played really quite well on a difficult map - ajbrun and Ben stick in my mind most ![]() Even though we did get owned, we are showing signs of improvement, although we may have been a little 'rusty' on the PCW front - so lets not get disheartened too much

I agree with what Luke is saying there but why have an elected person, why not just have a "team leader" for each match, prefferably a vocal and fairly experienced players who can direct the team, that way everybody would be able to develop better tactical awareness and hopefuly be able to take over fully should the team leader go down.
Teamspeak im not so sure about, dont get me wrong I use it all the time but it just seems to suck for playing CS, it drops me a few frames and all I can usually hear is daymonkeys open Mic and speakers. I would prefer to use in game comms, after all you just get confused from dead people shouting, "he is over there!!!!!, I saw him run past you!!!!!" when they are only able to see what the alive players can see.

Should also add, I think we should get some off-line collaboration going for tactics, get maps and stuff and discuss how we should approach each one
what to do if getting hammered etc, holding bombsites, taking out Terros's camping in huts....
