    How about a friendly?

    Hey guys,
My clan have just launched our new website (see signature), and although our application to clan-base is still going through, we'd like to have a few friendly matches here and there. We're a fairly small clan, so 3 v 3 would be all we could manage at present.

So, how about a quick friendly on a fun map or something (fy_poolparty_v2?). If not, np, just thought I'd ask.

I'd like to play you guys, but we never do 3v3 matches, and we always play on a popular match map, such as dust2 for example. I can ask the guys, but I don't think they'd want to play with that many players on a map we don't play.

Also, we've found that enemydown is MUCH better than clanbase. Since you have a website already, you only need an IRC channel and you can enemydown. We stopped using clanbase as soon as we were accepted onto enemydown.

If you come back with 5 players, then we'd be glad to play you. Good luck with the clan .

I'd be happy to play. Although I really would prefer a 5v5.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

At the moment, we have 3 members and a 'trainee' of sorts (quite new to the game, he's tagging along to gain some experience on different maps). We're currently holding tryouts, so it's possible we'll have 5 members in the near future. I'll keep you all informed as and when that happens.

tbh the best way to get loads of matches is to get on irc and find some, plus you can choose your skill. hexus clan being low, with some at mid level, but as you get better move up sucha good way to go,

i play many 3v3 lots of 4v4 rarley play 5v5 but you wont find that many people wanting to play poolparty i doubt lol

    Thanks for the replies guys.

We've just purchased a brand new eFrag server, and thus we're setting that up at the moment. Should be done by about Wednesday, so I'll PM you guys to sort something out then.

Again, thanks a lot for the replies.

Just a bit of an update on the situation:

I have nearly completed our new website, and the clan has now grown to nine-members. As I suspect was the case with the Hexus clan, we are finding ClanBase a little irritating due to its idiosyncracies, UI and all-round fiddilyness.

As such, we are taking you up on your suggestion Ajbrun, and hope to apply to EnemyDown by the middle of next week at the latest. However, I've come across "CAL", and was wondering what you guys thought of it...

In addition to this, I wondered if you'd now like a friendly match, perhaps a 4 v 4 on our server, or a 5 v 5 on yours. We will also have a new 30-man server on the 25th, and thus would be able to accomodate still larger matches in the future, if you so wished to wait.

    #EDIT#
One last thing: Could you tell me what the normal match configuration is in Enemy Down? I.e, are we talking 5 v 5, 6 v 6 etc?

CAL, no offence but if you want a freindly with hexus you are not by a long strech good enough to play in cal, i would stick to ed tbh buddy, still good fun, more organised, where as cal has some very very good clans in and really wouldnt suit a new clan

How about a 5v5 match on Sunday at 9?

ED generall do 5v5, although you can do anything between 4v4 and 8v8, although 5v5 will be the most common, so you might not have much luck with the rest. There's a CS:S match config to use in ED CS:S matches:

Thanks for the advice and info Harry/Ajbrun. We'll go ahead with joining Enemy Down.

As for the match on Sunday night, let's go for it.

no problem, basically cal is amatuer league, as opposed to cpl being pro league, but stil the level of play is very high

Pick a map. We play prodigy and dust2 a bit too often I think, so maybe either aztec or cbble? Come into our IRC channel for a chat .

    Who is Harry?

    Have we played you before?

I wouldnt rate hexus as low skill to be quite honest, we do have some great players although there are pretty rough edges in teamplay. Id rate us more medium than low.
