    FYI - cl_restrict_server_commands

    http://www.steampowered.com/v/index....s&id=851&cc=--

Added protection against servers manipulating the cl_restrict_server_commands cvar
Just so you all know, it seems valve have just released another one of their amazing updates. This particular one stops servers forcing the above command to be set by the server. Therefore, if you haven't already, I'd advise you to put the following command into you config.cfg on your client:

    cl_restrict_server_commands 0

The HEXUS server had a plugin to force this, but it won't work anymore now, so in order for pretty much all server plugins/mods (mani, gunmod, deathmatch etc etc) to work on your client, you'll need to change the command from default. It would be a good idea to do so, because some plugins won't let you join the server unless you've change it.

The server i normaly play on was having problems with this (running Gun Game) - It was really annoying, at the start of every round either an admin or myself would say "If you are not getting any guns at start up type xxx into console" and you would still get 5 - 10 people going "Why arent i getting any guns" - People are just stupid!

Tell the admin to either install Zblock to completely stop anyone like that joining, or at least install this:

But remember that it doesn't say in detail how to change it. It's basically this:

"Type in cl_restrict_server_commands 0 in the console, then reconnect to this server"

    There's 2 problems with this:

    * They need to know HOW to change the command, and most people don't even know how to access the console.
    * They need to be bothered to reconnect again. If it was me and I didn't know how to change the command, I'd just find another server.
