CS:S and 8800's
Hi,
Is anyone else really annoyed with the fog in source when using their new 8800's. People I have spoken to seem to think that the only work around at the moment is to run in directx 8.1 Has anyone else seen any other 'fixes' Thanks Dan |

Sorry mate, can't post a reply at the moment as im at work passing the time by.
Whats happening is that at a distance there is a fog that stops you from being able to see people properly. There are new drivers that I installed last night to try out and they aren't any different in source. Aparently its a fault that valve are looking at. Dan |

There are still issues with CS:S and 8800's. The latest forcewares (ForceWare 97.92 WHQL (x86) 8800GTS/GTX) didn't do anything to make the players any more visable in the fog.
I think its a case of nvidia are saying its a source fault and steam/valve are going to have to look at it. And then steam/valve saying its nvidias fault. ![]() Anyway. When I have a bit of time after my night shifts are over I'll post some screen shots showing you what I mean. Dan |
