    CS:S and 8800's

    Hi,

Is anyone else really annoyed with the fog in source when using their new 8800's. People I have spoken to seem to think that the only work around at the moment is to run in directx 8.1

Has anyone else seen any other 'fixes'

    Thanks
    Dan

Sorry mate, can't post a reply at the moment as im at work passing the time by.

Whats happening is that at a distance there is a fog that stops you from being able to see people properly. There are new drivers that I installed last night to try out and they aren't any different in source. Aparently its a fault that valve are looking at.

There are still issues with CS:S and 8800's. The latest forcewares (ForceWare 97.92 WHQL (x86) 8800GTS/GTX) didn't do anything to make the players any more visable in the fog.

I think its a case of nvidia are saying its a source fault and steam/valve are going to have to look at it. And then steam/valve saying its nvidias fault.

Anyway. When I have a bit of time after my night shifts are over I'll post some screen shots showing you what I mean.
