    Unhappy Counter-Strike: Source Slow Downs

Hello, it seems that I get severe slow downs whenever I use Fraps, it jumps from a smooth 60FPS to an unplayable 11FPS! Is there anyway to improve this? My grahics card is a nVidia GeForce 6150LE, and yes, I know it's intergrated graphics, but is there still a way to improve this?

    Odc's system
Fraps always reduces the fps of CS. Try turning it off for a while.

I've had CS:S on a 6150 PC playable - just - at lowest settings, but very ugly.
Are you on a wireless network?
Had similar slowdowns recently due to Windows XP Zero Configuration service stopping network traffic every time it sniffs for available networks. Turning off the service stopped the problem.

I stuck in a refurbished X850 XT recently and it has transformed the computer from a homework computer to a full on gaming machine.

I have played it at lowest settings, and I am trying to record. It plays at around 11FPS. And I have a AMD Athlon 3500+.

The standard FPS flickers so fast with cl_showfps, I can only say it's from 30 FPS min, to 40 FPS max.

Well fraps isnt really that great in cs due to the slow downs, you'll most likely need a better graphic card.
Other things you can try is pretty much, go into fraps and set it to record at half size.
