But this evening... AAARGHHH!!!

Was doing the mission in the abandoned hosptial and I am finding the combat system utter crap sometimes (I am much more at home with mouse and keyboard it has to be said). Trying to do close quarter combat in a building (think Vacant from CoD4) with it is a pain. The auto aim gets stuck on the dead guy. Found it difficult sometimes just to move and shoot. The camera sometimes gets in the way. Took several attempts, and then there was the debauchel of escaping.

Took the truck first time. Not going to happen with 3 stars. So decided to take the Porsche I got from Brucie, but that disappeared as soon as I accepted the mission. So I just left it at the safe house until after I got the mission. How the cops didn't see me go into the spray shop I don't know. I like how as soon as I am driving the Porsche (or any car it seems), it spawns everywhere!

I like the idea of the new system of escaping the cop's search radius, but when you have 3 stars, as soon as you leave it, another 2 or 3 spawn around you and there's no where to hide for the few second for it to clear.

Anyway, managed to pass it, but am not particularly looking forward to further missions like that.

You can get away though, if you are sneaky. I got the away from a 4 star chase earlier (for the achievement) on foot. Unless a cop can line of site you the radius thing wont recenter on you, so outrun the chopper, then get out of the car and start jumping fences and going around the backs of buildings and you'll get away.

The targeting thing is annoying though, it always wants to point at the old woman with her back to you, rather than the FBI special forces bloke with an Uzi firing it at your head.

Yeah, just use the AK from the construction site, and basically pick them off one at a time, no more of them arrive untill you have gotten in a car

Did take me a coupld of tries though

Came yesterday, far from perfect but you forgive it all as soon as you start playing. Absolutely brilliant cant put it down and don't intend to for the rest of the weekend

And yeah that old hospital mission is a pita. Not tried multiplayer yet(not even activated live yet) to engrossed in the single player. Only real complaint so far, Ricky gervais' set was way to short

Happened on every GTA game. At least if it gets damaged you can easily get a new one

Everyone says that, but I've not noticed it. Cars seem pretty random to me regardless of what I'm driving.

I'll look out for it next time.

Hmmmm, now I'm not gonna go as far to say I think it's boring, but I have to admit, alot of the gameplay is somewhat underwhelming. I can't put my finger on it yet.

Yeah, I tried to play it today, but couldn't get into it. The driving \ taxi to keep buying body armor, then trawling through the missions is starting to drag a tiny bit.

The story was great up until we got burnt out, but the new characters introduced, Playboy X and Manny aren't as interesting.

Also I want to do some races but Bruce keeps saying there aren't any, and I've failed one of the Little Jacob drug drops so often (because there isn't enough time to drive there!) he doesn't respect me enough to even try anymore.

You have to be impressed by the game, the way it looks, sounds, the production values and that, but its not exactly 24/7 fun, fun, fun.

Maybe I need a break from it.

I suggest you practice it, and also go do stuff with him, like bowling and crap like that, might help him like you

6 times I've cocked it up now.

I just CBA going to play darts to get him to like me enough for a few more goes.

yup that's it I think. It's just not that fun most of the time. I actually went back to oblivion and have been carrying on with that. I'm sure I'll give it another go later and 'get it' then.

I have only noticed parked cars spawn the same as yours, not necessarily other ones that drive around.
