'PS3 Smells Of Gay And Isn't In Our Gang' Says Fallout 3 Man.

Speaking to Techradar UK, Project Manager Pete Hines explained why they prefer using the 360 over the PC or the PS3.

"If you have the PC as your lead machine you have the problem of not knowing what configurations people have, how many gigs of RAM or what graphics card they have," explained Hines. "Obviously we are more familiar with the Xbox because we are familiar and the other thing is that the Xbox is much easier to take to tech shows. We can just pop the hard-drive off the Xbox and put it on any machine which is an advantage. Taking the PC or PS3 to these things just isn't convenient."

In the same interview, Hines also confirmed that the downloadable content will be exclusive to the 360 and PC:

"When I say exclusive I mean it is exclusive to just the Xbox 360 and PC.”

"If you want to play the Fallout 3 downloadable content you will need to have an Xbox 360 or a PC."

These DLCs always seeming to be PS3 or 360 exclusive, thats all down to $$$ yes?

How does it work? Microsoft and Sony see who can offer the most moolah, and the fattest wallet gets the DLC?

MS seem to be pulling their weight, GTAIV exclusive DLC, now Fallout 3.

What big multi-format games has ye olde PS3 managed to secure exclusive DLC for?

I dont think ms need to throw bribes around do they?

I mean how many more people have 360's than ps3's? Im sure its quite a lot.. So thats a lot more potential revenue on the 360 simply just looking at those numbers..

So you think the game devs decide to make it exclusive? I doubt thats it, maybe but I doubt it.

    Someone will know.

So MS paying $50M for exclusive GTA IV content isn't throwing a bribe? I would call it a nice bribe.

As for figures, MS is behind Sony in Europe & Japan and leading in the states.

As for all this exclusive content, i'd like to see some sales figures for all the paid DLC available, how many people thought that the horse armour in Oblivion was a worthwhile purchase.

Exclusive DLC is SOLELY based on how much one company pays for it, if you were a developer and weren't being paid for exclusivity why would you, it limiting your market and getting you less money.

It'll be as 'exclusive' as DLC was for Oblivion, ie not at all. But because Bethesda don't yet have a transaction model for PS3 DLC the extra stuff will come on discs (ie goty editions etc.) rather than as DLC.
