RROD Turn Around Times.

I don't know how long other people have waited, but I reported mine broken sunday, got my label and booked a UPS pick up the same day, for monday. Monday I gave the console to UPS, it got to Microsoft wednesday, and I've just checked now and its been shiped back to me this afternoon.

So I will get it monday sometime. 8 days. Not bad really for a trip to Germany, get to the front of the queue, repaired or replaced, and back to jolly old England.

A lot quicker than the quoted 2 to 3 weeks.

So if your 360 RRODs it should only cost you a week, and you get a months free Xbox Live.

At least Microsoft are making the best of a bad situation.

Going to take it back to GAME though and not arse around with Microsoft.

Good luck, they point blank refused to take mine back and made me send it Microsoft.

Its under a year old, so they can't. Hell, they can't within 6 years as its a known inherent fault with the console.

Not that it matters - I worked there for 4 years, so I won't have an issue either way

Mine was under a year old aswell and raised that issue frequently but they wouldn't have any of it, they were really rude too.

Probably just an arsey manager when it comes to dealing with returns. They know they have to change it if requested - When I worked there we were instructed to instantly exchange 360s provided the seal was in tact due to the high failure rate.

Should have phoned customer services mate, they'll kick off about things like this. In fairness, GAME was pretty customer focused when it come to issues like this when I worked there, although I wouldn't go back

Its good to know that the turnaround is pretty good, I packaged mine yesterday hoping UPS would collect on Saturday but they don't

Now I've got to wait till' Monday resisting temptation to unpack it all again

At least I know I'll finally get to play GTA IV in about 1 1/2 weeks, I've had the game since the beginning of May and haven't been able to play on it for more than 10 minutes at a time

The second one,
It'll completely freeze but won't post RROD.
Example, I'll boot up GTA 4, play for 10 mins, and it will freeze, I can't go to the guide I can't do anything. If I give it another go the same thing will happen, but this time after maybe 2 minutes. Next time I might get 20 minutes but it'll still freeze eventually. The only other games its happened on are Guitar Hero 3 and the demo for Battlefield: Bad Company. But the weird thing is COD 4 and the Orange Box work fine.

Strange to only do it in some games, it will only get worse though, so it needs ze Germans to have a look at it.

I mucked around when mine was on the way out, getting it working for a day or a couple of hours with the towel trick, but it works for less and less time each time you do it.

You'll have it back by next monday anyway, hopefully.

Sony replaced my borked PS3 the next day at my door. I waited a month for one of my 360s to get back to me. 8 days is still a mick take.

8 days to get from my door, to Germany, repaired, and back to my door? Seems pretty reasonable to me.

They shouldnt be sending it for repair they should replace it with an already working console. It took sony 16 hours to replace the PS3.

I sent mine to somewhere near Bristol (i think) why do you have to send it there?

I sent it to Frankfurt, yeah, I'll have it back tomorrow sometime.

I had to send it there because that was the address on the UPS shiping label Microsoft sent me.
