They don't go over the ear like I think you're looking for, but I love the sound quality from the Koss KSC75s.

Thanks all. Went for the steelseries in the end. Look comfy and might last a bit longer.

Indeed - SteelSeries used to be known as Icemat; the 'Siberia's' were long recognised as there best around.

    Re: Good Headphones for Gaming?

For anyone else looking for 'phones I recently got some Grado SR80's, as I fancy myself a bit of an audiophile too. I demo'd them against Sennheiser's HD595 and while I thought the supra-aural Grado's would be less comfortable, due to their incredibly light weight I preferred them. Oh, and the effortless detail and tighter bass also made them a winner. Open-backed design is nice for LAN parties too as you can hear what's going on around you without having to take them off.

They're not cheap, and I did look at many dedicated 'gaming' sets as well, but if you like listening to music at your PC as well then I would definitely recommend them.

_If_ your Sennhesiers broke after just 4 months, then surely you can get them replaced under warranty? Did that twice with some Plantronics Audio .90's, until I bought some Sennheiser PC150's which are still going strong some 3-4 years later

Razer barracuda.. are awesome... but the price is much to be desired.... imagine 5.1 surround sound in your headphones.
