GTA IV Downloadable content announced (360)

rockstar games is proud to announce that the eagerly anticipated first episode of downloadable content, grand theft auto iv: The lost and damned, will be coming to the xbox 360® video game and entertainment system via xbox live® online entertainment network. Available exclusively on xbox live worldwide on february 17th 2009, the lost and damned will feature all new content and is the first of two episodes announced for grand theft auto iv on xbox 360.

Developed by rockstar north and set in liberty city, the lost and damned features a new main character and plot that intersects with the storyline of grand theft auto iv; new missions that offer an entirely fresh way to explore liberty city with new multiplayer modes, weapons and vehicles; and a diverse soundtrack with additional music - all with the incredible production values that are the trademarks of grand theft auto.

Grand theft auto iv: The lost and damned requires players to have the full version of grand theft auto iv for xbox 360 and xbox live membership to download. Further details will be announced soon.

Check out the screenshots too, looks as if its going to be about some kind of biker gang storyline. Looking forward to it though. new character and storyline to keep me entertained once again.

Yup, Gaming News forum... last place you'd look for gaming news.

Anyway looking forward to this. Haven't touched the single player since 100%, so be good to have a reason to play GTA again.

Anyway, are you pleased or not that the character you play as is not Bellic?

Personally I'm not that bothered that you play as someone else, but it could have been someone cool and interesting like a mafia hitman or Boss... some biker... meh.

I've never been one for leather jackets and grease, and those bikes the ride are the least fun ones to drive in the game.

Not bothered that it isn't Nico at all, in fact I think its probably better that your not him.

I agree it would be interesting to play someone other than a biker, but I still don't think it will be un-interesting or whatever at all. As long as there's plenty of cruising round in biker gangs I'll be happy. I always love it in GTA games when your randomly riding around on a bike and luckily a group of 2 or 3 bikes appear on the road near you and you get a few short moments to pretend you have formed a small biker gang

As soon as i saw the shots it reminded me of the mission near the beginning of the game where you have to follow a biker who is dating Faustin's daughter. Quite a small and un-interesting mission, but its sort of similar to what i imagine this pack to be like, only from their perspective.

Not sure which bike your referring too as there are two different ones shown, but for me the zombie's are one of the most fun bikes in the game! But if you were talking about the Hellfury, then yes i have to agree, they are slow, clumsy and generally un-interesting.

I'm just hoping that the way Rockstar decide to 'set' they way you play the new story shows liberty city in a new/different way to nico.


Either way this is only the First DLC pack to come, there will be one more following this...

I could live with a Sons of Anarchy style storyline in GTA 4, it could work pretty well imo. Just gotta hope the pricing is reasonable.
