Ok, so I'm a bit behind with games... but I've just completed Splinter Cell and I must say it's been one of the most enjoyable games I've played for a long, long time!
I love sniping! ![]() I'm gonna start it again soon and see if I can get through each mission without being spotted (except the last mission where you can't help but run away a little bit! I have the expansion with the 3 extra levels including the submarine to do first though. When is Pandora Tomorrow being released? Will it be totally different? Expansion pack or new game completely?
If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Ok, thanks, I'll probably not get the demo unless I see it on a cover disk or something. Haven't got internet access on my PC at the moment...

Splinter Cell the original is great, try playing it on Hard - tis challenging but in a satisfying way, not "so hard you give up" sorta thing. The extra 3 levels arent that great but are worth doing just because

I bought this a few months back when I went through my "I've got some spare cash why don't I buy every game I can think of I haven't got" stage, and have been meaning to play it but just never got around to it. To tell the truth I have over a dozen games at various stages of completion I just get bored too quickly even with a lot of short games, they just seem a bit repetitive and I decide to take a break nad come back to them and just move onto something else and forget about them.
XII, Mafia, Splinter Cell, CoD, Secret Weapons over Normandy, Max Payne 2 and so many more still waiting to be installed let alone played

Im the same way, i've got so many games that i have not completed, it's pretty sad really as i have about 150 games and i've completed 10-12 of them.
The only game lately that i have really got into and completed is Knights of the old republic (That game is amazing) right up there with "Planescape torment" actually they are very similiar and i did have a sense of deja-vu while playing. P.S. i did complete Planescape torment

It is worrying how few games I have actually seen right to the conlcusion here's a list of those i can remember
close combat 2 max payne quake gta 3 and vice city Crimson skies Unreal Tournament Half Life Sam and Max hit the road Day of the Tentacle think that's about it, considering ho many games I purchased over the years it's a bit worrying, eitehr something is wrong with me or with the gaming industry

With me it's just having the time and patience to get yourself through that tricky part your stuck in or the repetitive section of the game.
I think myself that the games industry is to blame for not trying to keep your interest past the first few levels of a game, it's almost as if they grab your attention with the early levels, especially if it is a demo. Just enough to get you to buy the game, and the you realise it's getting repetitive or it's just not holding your interest. But sometimes it is just as i have said already having the patience to stick with a game, i easily turn a game of if i die too many times in a row or a hard puzzle needs solving but it's giving me too much of a headache to complete.

I have Mafia too, very good game! But, I'm stuck on the BLOODY race!
It's sooooooooooo difficult!

The race was as easy simple as eating a pie, i do the driving sections using a half decent game pad which probably helps. I did the race once to leanr the route and then passed it the second time. I've replayed it a couple of dezen times though as it's so much fun and so well done.
The key is to leave breaking as late as possible you will soon learn which corners you can avoid breaking totally on and just ease off the acceleration. Also remember breaking on the corner makes your turn sharper and accelerating will straighten you up more

I just played the race on the easiest difficulty level, just i found it boring completing the race, but its worth it to get back in the real game again.
