Is anyone looking forward to Brink?

And does anyone know what the specs will be? I'm going to build a new system just for it.

Yes, looks nice, that. Can I ask you a question; this sub-forum 'Microsoft gaming' - does it says 'Xbox gaming' or 'Microsoft Windows Gaming'? Serious question, btw.

Re: Is anyone looking forward to Brink?

I thought so too, but then there's this thread.... Looking back over this forum, there are quite a few 'Windows' questions, too. Sorry to hijack your thread!

What's so great about it, out of interest?

Not heard about it until now, just had a look but doesn't seem anything particularly special?

It essentially looks like Borderlands with Parkour

There was a load of hype about it at the start of the year then nothing and within the last few weeks its kicked up again. I will wait and see what people say about it before I grab it personally.

Splashdamage have a good pedigree of games, looks good to me. Will wait for some kind of demo or a decent review before buying

I reckon I'll wait until I see how everyone reacts to it. I'm more keen on Crysis 2, Deus Ex or Bioshock Infinite

Re: Is anyone looking forward to Brink?

I am really really looking forward to this.

Ever since play Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory I have been massive fans of Splash damage.

I think Brink's success will all depend on how well this "one button does everything" aspect works. I like the idea of using this button to climb things or slide under things but I wonder how many times it will actually do what I want it to.

I have pre-ordered it from Shopto for 24.99 AFAIK. If they get the teamplay mechanics right this could be one hell of a game, the art style is great and should scale well.

    Cant wait.

Re: Is anyone looking forward to Brink?

I'm looking forward to this as well, my friend saw it on steam and pointed it out. I had a look at the trailers, and like they're supposed to they make the game look good. Reading a bit about it reafirmed it's place on my "ooo can't wait for that" list.
