    Alien Swarm for UT2004

    hey

    Anyone else tried this?

In the same fashion to Red Orchestra, i came across this by chance and have found a quality Mod. It changes the game compeletly into a top down shooter, with singleplayer RPG and RTS elements. Starting to become popular online as well.

Basically the whole thing is set in a universe identical to that of the movie 'Aliens', with a team of commandos sent in to destroy hives and gun down big old swarms of monsters using flame throwers, assault rifles, shotguns and mini guns works very nicely but quite hard.

    have a look: http://www.blackcatgames.com/swarm/

it's quite groovy - but control takes a little getting used to - I think they will need hotkeys to assign functions to other squad members - i.e. ... everyone else, hold positions while I chase bugs with the autogun - instead of following me blindly and not shooting any bugs at all!
Very, very cool and funky tho!
