Desert Combat!

Now, i used to play DC almost religiously. But when Battlefield Vietnam came out, i kinda was playing that more (even though it was so badly coded) and after a long period with BF:V (was quite frankly getting boring) i've decided I want to get back into DC. I know there is version 0.7 and i have it on a coverdisc somewhere but I wanna know 2 things.
Do I need Battlefield 1.6?
And what is new with 0.7 (i've still got version 0.6 on my comps)

Yes you do need the battlefield 1.6 patch, im not sure what changes have been made to desert combat.

Some new helicopter and a couple of new maps i have noticed personnally, sound effects are more impressive.

Alright, i'll get 0.7 later then, should be good. Arn't they going to release DC for BF:V because it would be good with the music option

Well what i heard was 0.8 will be the last mod for battlefield 1942, and then they are working with DICE in the making of Battlefield 2.

Another good mod is eve of destruction, but it isnt going to be updated anymore as it is being converted to the battlefield vietnam engine.

Made my BF1942 1.4 unstable-but the default BF1942 game was breathtaking on a FX5200 and very fun to play .
