    OMG...

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Actually, I'm not that impressed having seen it, especially after seeing Epic's next gen UT engine.
I'm more interested in how it will play, and how many bug fixes it will require in the months after the release..

I'm not that impressed with the graphics, like Stoo after seeing the new UT engine but for the mo I am really really looking forward to a good old fashion fps game.

Really looking forward to some good old fashioned fraging!

I'm with Chaoticone ... HL2 is looking ooooold ... and rumors saying it's not going to be out until next year means it's going to look even older...Doom III has me psyched...

And anyways, UT engine? Which is going to be used in games as soon as, oooohhh, 2006...might as well say you're not impressed with Doom III 'cause you saw Shrek 2 last week...

    re: "HL2 is looking ooooold"

No, HL2 is looking SOLID. In other words, it's a great *game*, all round. Sure, won't be as groundbreaking as HL1, but it will be a great game.

Doom3? Don't sweat it. Pretty engine, v. poor *game*. Can't say any more, forum rules don't allow (as I found out today! :-))
