    HL2 : a step nearer

It looks like CS Source beta is closed and now they are offering the full game the the people who order HL2 via steam as of today. The link below has more information such as pricing etc.

Im guessing if we buy the game retail from a shop then we get the Bronze package? If so then i might just cancel the order and pay £33 online for the silver.

There's going to be two retail boxed versions. One will be just HL2 on 6 cds... the other is on DVD and is HL2 CS:Source, TFC: Source, DoD:Source and some other bits... oh, and a t-shirt.

DoD-S isnt ready for release yet (or so I read), so the different packages give the ability to download it later, it isnt on the DvD. Also no comments as to a possible price to buy it later if you already have HL2/CS-S. You should also note that HL2 isnt playable yet, its tagged as * To be made available upon products' release. So you cant play HL2 untill it actually hits the shops.

The release date for HL2 is 26/11/2004 according to play.com, anybody else got a date?

    Gold Package ordered here

my ATI voucher discounted my order by $50, so what would have cost me $127 [cos of shipping an handling to the UK] cost me just $79

    not a bad price
