    Recommend Me a MMORPG?

    Guys,
Seeing as I now have broadband, can you please recommend me a MMORPG to play?

I am a big fan of the BG, BG2, Icewind Dale 2, Neverwinter Nights series just to give you an insight into the games I like. (I am open to all games though!)

    Thanks for your help,
    Leon

IF you're prepared to wait for a couple of months, EverQuest2 and, more importantly, World of Warcraft are imminent releases, but it all depends on whether you want one NOW or not there's also a few that are free to play online and rely on contributions, but i dont remember any links off hand. give google a bash for that. EQ2 is coming along nicely and should be right up your street based on the games you mentioned.

There are loads of MMORPGs out there these days and i can't afford a subscription to them all but have been playing star wars : galaxies and everquest 2 beta lately and would recommend them both.

Do you have to pay for all MMORPGs? If not I would prefably like one where you don't have to pay!!

What ones are everyone playing at the moment?

As far as i know all MMORPGs have a monthly subscription fee to help pay for the servers and developers wages and such.

    That's fair enough.

I have just registered with http://www.mmorpg.com. They will give me a free 14 day pass with eve online. Think I'm gonna try this!

MMORPGS are good value IMO. I mean most of them charge less than a tenner a month and you can get quite a lot of play out of them.

Personally I dont think there are any MMORPGS that are worth the time investment at the moment. Like other people mentioned, EQ2 and WoW are the ones to watch out for.

Edit: Don't spose anyone has a beta account that they don't intend to use do then? Please? Pretty please?

    guru's system
Eve works out around £10 per month but it's cheaper if you pay over 3 or 6 months. the game itself is fantastic and there isnt anything like it available. been playing it since it's official release last summer and still love it.

can well recommend it and give me a shout if you do sign up as i can hook you up with a decent corp to get you started.
