    Game Park

I have olny just really grasped what Direct Hex showed me on Saturday night.

FOr the totally un-initiated (like me) its a Game Boy Advanced look a like, with what DIrecthex patiently described to me (three times, cos I was bemused) as a 40 mghz Processor which in some applications was overclockable to 133

Now, if you imagine how cool games used to be in the palyability stakes, when graphics cards didnt need to churn out 1024x768x32 in 4XAA and 8XAF at 100 fps.....we used to manage really well in Doom and Sonic etc.

Well.....with little stereo speakers built in , a frankly amazing colour screen, a 128mb Compact flash mem card....and some sexual expletives I witnessed a full on MP3 player, a totally incredible 3rd person shooter running in fuill colour, and Sonic 2.....all in a calculator sized gadget.

And it is still only just sinking in.......cos it was incredible

i did a review, but it's been lost to the ravages of time. http://english.gamepark.com is the official site, www.gp32x.com is a fairly gfood gp32 site. you can get the DiVX player for it from www.entware.com
