| Pariah on PC.....not bad for a bit of blasting! Well, this is a turn up for the books. It's not particularly hard, though I'm not on godlike settings. And it's a smooth game, if a bit too much like UT (no suprise....look at the install screen to know the game engine,,,its identical!) It's a bit linear, but today I just needed point and shoot...literally. And it does get the old heart rate going (and for all those of you who have played online games with me, you IL-2 pilots, yeah...I was breathing heavy on the tense bits!!!) Good upgrade options for the weapons, 1 power up pack for a basic upgrade, two needed for a better one, so do you spend the two you have found on minor upgrades for the other basic weapons or do you hold them back for a major upgrade later on? Weapons that tae a damn age to reload (some upgrades speed that right up), health packs that take a few seconds to medicate (and you're taking a right old pounding if you're in a gunfight meantime) In all this is not a bad game at all. I instaled and started at 1:30 and its now 4:15 and that is all solid game play, no pauses, 3 deaths with restarts to the last auto save point. Vehicles, of which you don't always get to drive, smetime s you just get to shoot... and now some rather funky invible thing is going on, which I don't fully understand yet, but there's a Predator like thing scaring the cack outta me, tho its not attacked yet. And...as its my favourite subject.....sounds and atmosphere are pretty good. There are some very silly sounds, such as walkintg thorugh wather (which is simply like rustling paper!!) but there's some good music build up, medium effective surround sound, SERIOUS BASS!!! and all in all its pretty exciting.I just know 'd not want to play it again...its not that good. And I did get a tad lost once, but not horribly so. I might do a couple of screenies in a mo.....the visuals are pretty good ![]() All in all....5/10 ...with UT2004 at 8/10....classics like Severance Blade of Darkness at 7/10 and Riddick at 7/10. Dont forget....5 is average. Doesnt mean its cack! ![]() Agent = Hardware Homosapien | Zak33 = Hardware Homonid - just call me "Lucy" |

| I did quite enjoy this - but as you say it's a bit average. Had a few bugs too (graphical glitches) but certainly worth a go. Nowhere near as bad as HALO Te audire non possum. | I played through this a while back Zak matey. It plays like HALO literally, just sit and blast away. Its quite enjoyable really, simple shoot to kill game that keeps you hooked. I dont like the movies to much on it, just recorded from the X Box version ! |

| Yeah - I quite liked Pariah, doesnt take all that much thought to play and you can quite happily jump in for a 30 min thrash <grin> Doesnt need a serious system to make it look nice and play well too. What we share with everyone is glum, and dark... |
