    Micro Machines V4

Anyone had a play of the demo? Just had a quick go of it, and its still as fun and highly addictive as V3. Great game for upto 4 people, can't wait to have a 4-way battle when a few mates are round.

You can grab the demo from here

    Woooo! Cheers for that!

Downloading now. MM v3 was the best multiplayer game on the PS1 by a long shot.

I didn't think much to the PS2 version - it was... OK.

Anyway, downloading this now - let's see.

Came in the post this morning, only £13 from Play (seems to have gone up now though). Fantastic, already had a three way game. It's so simple, yet so fun!

And up until now, I thought you were sane.

Wouldn't mind playing against my fellow forum-goers if you do get the game...

I never really liked Micro Machines going 3D, though i'm willing to give V4 a go in the hope that it recaptures the total playability of the Megadrive versions. I still think Micro Machines 96: Turbo Tournament on the Megadrive is the best version, even though some may point out that it is merely a re-vamped version of Micro Machines 2. This is true, it's exactly the same to play, '96 just has more courses more customisability, a j-cart for 4 players and a track designer. I played it with a old mate recently when I dug out my Medga Drive and instantly we were back to using the same old tactics that we used on the same game back in our school days in an instant. A proper cast iron classic, for me no Micro Machines game since has managed to be so utterly playable and fun. I'll let you know what I think of V4.

downloaded it the other day when my annoying (but uncancelable) CodeM subscribers list email came hrough not played it yet but looks like a modern take on the MM classics that i have loved as a party game. Monkey Ball rulezzzzzzzzzz tho. (-disagree-ers?)

Edit: The PS2 I-Toy with that game that has all the different games (like bubbles and kungfoo, and pint pourer) is friggin fantastic for parties.

    F22 Interceptor?

That maybe another game that was amazing, it was on Amiga and C64. Real time war game with planes, tanks, submarines, objectives include higher technology like ion bombs and nuke based WMD.
