WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007 - Xbox 360 - Impressed

Never played any of the previous wrestling games, but have to say that I'm really impressed with both the story mode, the online play and all of the options available. The control system is very intuitive even though there are a multitude of options, but the nasty moves and the animation of the moves you can pull are a lot of fun. I can't compare it to previous games in the series but definitely far more entertaining that I would have thought.

Oh no, I'm starting to get concerned. I've met three people in the US playing this, all of which have said it is better than Gears of War! Please no!!!!

The graphics look impressive for this game but it's just the gameplay that would be a concern especially with most wrestling games as they turn out to be just a mash fest and lose their novelty quickly.

the missus wanted it for her birthday, so i got it for her.. we have both been hammering it over the weekend. got to be the best 4 person round a console game the 360 has seen yet..tis a good giggle and the create a character is very funny

and this is from someone that hates wrestling

maybe so, but i have had quite a few discussions on the subject with some of my friends and we reckon it may work.

Using the fight night engine you can use other buttons as modifiers for kicks, shots' and clinches. When the fight goes to the ground, what was the kick modifier would switch to elbows. The shot modifier could be used for sub attempts/defences.

I just think if someone really fancied making one they could nail it. I have been getting my hopes up as well as i keep seeing that xbox are sponsoring ufc events and the likes...
