Thumbs up Neverwinter Nights Complete Collection.

So, I've just ordered the NeverWinter Nights Complete Collection, which is Neverwinter Nights, Shadows of Undrentide, and Hordes of Underdark.

I missed the main game when it first came out, so when I seen all three going for £34.95 I ordered it.

How did you lot find the first game? Any good user-made maps or quests? What's the online play like?

Also, did it intrest you enough to buy either of the add-on packs? If so, how did you find them?

    Cheers.

Sorry to high jack your thread Vaul, i also would like to know what multiplayer is like?
As i already own Neverwinter nights but dont have the mission packs, if multiplayer is good i might buy it again with the mission packs and give my brother the other copy and play online with him

Vaul, where did you get it for £34.99?

"Mmm... I want you for my wife!"

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGHGHHHHHH

I ordered the Gold Edition (Original + Undrentide) for like £22 the other day, and now the other is this price....
No, wait.... how much is the Hordes expansion on it's own?

Online play is ok, you just have to have a decent connection, otherwise you are just going to be Rubber-Banding around the screen all the time, and not being able to kill things before they have already killed you.

There are 2 main long-running servers - BattleDale and Winter... something. BattleDale looked fun, but I couldn't go 50m without being attacked by something I couldn't kill

Hordes has an RRP of £20, but you can find it for £15, so £22 + £15 = £37. You only missed out on a few quid. No big deal.

Ravens - Gameplay.co.uk are running an offer, all 3 (well, its Neverwinter Nights Gold, which is the first 2, and the Hordes of Underdark) for £34.95

    Link - http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/...uctCode=KT4181

You can also get just Hordes for £15.

    Link - http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/...ctcode=RM00641

I've order from Gameplay lots of time in the past, and they are 100% reliable. Postage is free 2nd class, or 99p first class, as well as various next day options.

The 1st class option has always got the package to me within 24 hours anyway, although this close to Christmas, it may take a few days longer.

Finally, if you order tomorrow at any time (Tuesday 16th December), then enter the code 5offdayb in the box on the ordering page, for an additional 5% off the quoted price.

    Hope this helps.

    Stewart.

Enverex thanks for the info about multiplayer, perhaps you need to be a really high classed player in the single player game before playing online then.. also i've got broadband so it should be too slow unless there servers are slow

Thanks Vaul, very good deal i'd have to say and an extra 5% sweetens the deal i think i'll be ordering that tomorrow then

    Thanks again for your replys.

I disliked the original game. in many ways, it seemed to have lost all of the atmosphere and intrigue found in Baldur's Gate 2

Closed Servers. It's like Closed (normal) BattNet for Diablo. You can't use your own character. You make one on the server and it is stored on there, so it isn't used anywhere else.

Arrived yesterday. No manual in for Neverwinter Nights of the add-on that you get with it though.

Looks like an email to GamePlay is in order...

No, there is. It is on the CD under a folder called "extras". I wasn't impressed either. If you are having trouble finding the CD key, it is under all of the discs on a white label (so you have to take all the discs out to see it).

Ah. Fair enough. I was thinking it might be on the CD, but as I haven't got around to playing it yet, and the Hordes of Underdark came with a proper manual, I though it might be missing.

Not impressed. Now I have all 3, and only 1 proper book. Cheapo way to do it...

Yeah, noticed the CD key, under the three discs, all stuck on the same holder.

What's with the lack of manuals these days eh? And the codes being on stickers instead of on the back of the non-existant manuals like they say they are??

Is it me or is this f**ked up? We pay well over the top for these games and don't even get a hard copy of the manual so we have to print it ourselves (!!!) or switch between the game and Windows to bloody read it!

Which I suppose is the point - £40 for Neverwinter Nights, and now £35 for Nverwinter Nights, Hordes and Shadows.

Still would have liked a proper paper manual though.
