Questionnaire
This is for a uni. Project I’m doing. Any answers are greatly appreciated.
Its all about level flow / architecture / what makes a good map in FPS games. You can answer these for as many games as you wish (The more the better !), but they must be a multiplayer FPS, PC or console (please say which though if the game is on both formats). Cheers all 1) Game name and format (console, PC) 2) What skills level do you consider yourself in this game compared to others online (low / mid / high / pro) 3) What are your favourite stock maps (ie. Maps that come with the game as default) 4) What, in your opinion makes a good level (be as subjective as you want here, the idea is for a personal response) 5) How often do you play online |

1) CS:S - PC
2) Mid skilled 3) Nuke, inferno, dust2 4) Objectives for the maps that make it fun to play with a team. Playing maps that are too spread out and with too many camping spots drag the game out too much. 1.45 timers are a must too on counterstrike. 5) Most days Hope this helps a little Dan

1) Halo 2 - XBox
2) High skilled (not anymore though!) 3) Zanzibar 4) Different game objectives allow for varied strategies to be employed on the same map. i.e. the map is suitable for a diverse range of game modes. Interactivity with the tactical opening and closing of gates, set points to reach certain places, due to objects on the map moving. Visually, well textured, well constructed and laid out. Some measure of tactics involved in defending or offending objectives. Size dictating number of players, therefore, there is never a time when 16 players are playing a small map, and 8 players are playing a huge map. Zanzibar is quite small, therefore always restricted to 8 players. 5)Every day |

2) High - Pro 3) Battle of Britain, Stalingrad, Berlin 4) Maps that contain something for everyone, where people with different talents can make a contribution to the team. Maps that have interesting little foibles help too, it rewards perseverance, exploration and inventiveness. The ability to play either casually or competitively and work with small or large teams. Balance is also vital. 5) Regularly
