NAS drive - can you swap out hard disk?

    Hello,

I've currently got a Freecom Classic SL NAS drive (160Gb), but have filled it up.

Can you simply swap out the hard disk for a bigger one or is it not so easy?

I'm guessing its an IDE drive, but not totally sure.

    Cheers

It should just be a matter of changing the drive over but there may be a limit to the maximum drive size the enclosure suports (you'll need to open the enclosure to find out but i'd be 99% sure it's an IDE drive)

Ok thanks for the help mate. Should be cheaper than buying a whole new external drive.
