    Wonderfull guide!

Tommorow after Ive recieved my 2 gig 6400 ram from the mail ill have a shot at it.
My goal is 3.2 Ghz meaning a FSB of 356.
My temps at 2.4 ghz are 38 C idle and 48 C under load, pretty nifty.
Holding the 62 C- 64 C line as a maximum temp for the overclock though, wish me luck!

Ive clocked my e6600 to FSB 356 now. Under full orthos my max temp is 62/64 C. Is this good or a little too much? Its stable for the rest.

temps seem ok. what cooler? ideally you'd want it at 60 max but 65 isn't that bad.

    get it from Redstore.com - Crucial 2GB (1 GB x 2) Ballistix Tracer 240-pin DIMM (with LEDs), DDR2 PC2-8500 Memory Module
I posted it in my bargain post and 3 of us already have our ram
    its cheaper than from crucial.
my bargain post has the black tracer ones with led's but its only about £2 more.
this is the 2 x1 gb packs though.

Re: C2D Overclocking Guide for Beginners

    Hey ppl.
I am back due to a bios upgrade.
Eight month ago, I had a e4300 + p5n-e sli + ocz pc6400 2x1 gb plantium rev 2. And I was able to oc to 3.0GHz from reading this guide, but after I update the bios to the 0703 version, I was only able to go up to 2.75GHz stable. So I wanted to bump up the cpu more since I got some free time in the Christmas holidays. Any help would be appreciated.

Heres my stable setting so far:
    1220(cpu's fsb) / 800(ram's fsb 4-4-4-15).
    vcore:1.43x
    vRam: 2.1x
    nbcore:1.4x
    vcore offset: auto

I tried to go back to (3.0GHz) 1333/ 800 fsb
But it just froze in the bios logo screen, and it wont even allow me to set bios settings when I press del(Had to reset cmos). So I tried (3.195Ghz)1420 / 800, and it passes throught the bios logo and bios posts messages, but stuck in loading window(black screen). I have tried increased the vcore by a notch each time(i bumped up to 1.5v), but it still doesnt boot. Hope fully someone can help me. Thank You.

1.8v i assume is for the same speed with lax timings, for example 5-5-5-15 and 1.9 might be for 4-4-4-12 timings. it's how it is on my ram.
