Corsair or Tagan PSU?

So im a bit unsure on which PSU I want to be going for.

Hardware which it is going to power is:

P5B Deluxe WiFi
E4300
Corsair 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400
500GB HDD
DVD Writer

GFX will be anywhere from a Nvidia 7900 to a 8800. Wont be doing SLI for a bit and if I do ill worry about getting a different PSU if need be.

The two PSU's im thinking about are the following

Corsair PSU or Tagan PSU

The system is on a slight budget. Although depending on which would be the better PSU £10 difference isnt going to rock the boat too much.

So suggestions please and reasons why would be a great help.

Corsair. The Tagan I had was garbage, but others seem to have had success with them.

I've had a pretty positive experience with my Tagan, can't say I've ever tried Corsair PSUs.

I'd say you just got unlucky with your Tagan Clunk

My Tagan is brilliant. Running it on my C2D system now and voltages are spot on!

Ive had two Tagans both working perfectly. And one of them had nearly a quarter of a litre of OJ poured into it.

I was hoping when starting this thread it would help me make a better choice but I seem to be even more confused as to which route to take.

Corsair - built by Seasonic, it's got a 5 year warrenty, and Corsair are BRILLIANT when it comes to support.

I recently RMA's 3.5 year old RAM, and that particular TWINX was no longer available, so the offered alternative repolacement or my money back.... (they gave me my original purchase cost back of £200), and I bought replacement from SCAN for £50!!!!!!!

Honestly though, whether tagans are any good or not is besides the point.

Corsairs are the best out of all...not just the two you chose.

That tagans meant to be a bit on the noisey side, my mate bought one but never installed it, because his an idiot lol

But corsairs are generally thought of as the best now days (made my seasonic) so i would get that.

the 5 year warranty seems prity much worthless as you have rma back to california, how much does that psu weight 3 or 4 kgs its gonna cost 40 or 50 quid maybe more if you want it there under 2 months lol

Corsair - just ordered one myself.

All reviews of the Corsair PSU that I've read are positive. The same cannot be said of the Tagan PSU.
