Cool Packard Bell & Vista Recovery disk

Hi just in case anyone has a prob with a new laptop I.E. Packard Bell easy note, when attempting to create recovery disks. Disk goes through all copying and passes but at last moment informs you that "Your disk was not created sucessfully. Please retry" I had this problem and a vista newsgroup informed me it was a Packard Bell prob.Contacted P.B. who were very helpful. Agreed to send me recovery disk and informed me that is is a VISTA incompatibility issue.
So there you have it. Just give PB a call and they will help sort you out.You will need serial numbers model numbers etc etc.
Have a nice day . xxx

Cool Re: Packard Bell & Vista Recovery disk

My thanks to avalonx. Have had just the same problem. Spoke to PB but they can't recognise the serial number that is on the back of the machine but will come back. We are not the only ones with probs!

Re Recovery disc. Still in trouble with PB. Call centre response varies from "yes ok, disc is in the post. to Don,t recognise the serial number, to why don't you talk to the Dutch? Does anyone know what is going on with PB UK?

PB uk is dealt via PCworlds now outsourced IT support, lol it was shoddy several years ago when i did my stretch im told by insiders its apalling now. Remember will be runts on minimum wage with less IT knowledge than you following scripts most likely. Be firm but non aggressive and if in doubt as for a supervisor.
