I've just got 2 big desk fans going in my room. that keeps it all pretty nice and means i don't have to take the case off to see decent temps

Would those be too high for everyday ?
1.7/1.75 is ok, its when you start going closer to 2v then you will be running a risk of frying/harming your components.

    ban summer?

i'll have the good weather thank you. You can overclokc your rig all winter and if it bothers anyone that much then you can buy (admittedly pricey) air con for your room

Well, the summer heat is definitely making things uncomfortable in my 'geek room'... But it's ok - room temp is stable around 30-32C in the afternoon when the sun is shinning directly. I guess the big test is going to be tomorrow, when temperature is predicted to go as high as 37C!

10x200 backed off to 9x200, just to keep the heat down

I daren't install any more fans in my rig, Il have no hearing left.

Ahh that Prometia seems more tempting everyday..

On side note : Keep the summer, 37c is something to annoy people you know who are on holiday abroad with

air con seems like a plausible alternative to vapochill tbh @ around £170 inc from B&Q ... it's just that summer doesn't really last too long in this country to justify it ...

    ... hmm maybe it's a sign:

GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GO PLAY OUTSIDE IN THE SUN !!!

/me takes advice and wanders down to the pub for a cold b33r (after work argh !)
