    Question Corsair hx 620 & antec 900 newbie question

    Hello

    This maybe a silly question, but I'm in the process of building my first pc but I'm a little confused...(standard )

    At the moment I just have the psu and drives installed & will be ordering mobo,cpu and ram in the next day or so...once I can decide on a mobo

    So I'm looking inside the case and theres 4 fans each with thier own connector, but the psu only comes with on fan lead with only 2 connectors on it

    Now, they all can be 'daisy chained' together, but will this work? or will I blow up the house??

    Cheers for any help

    4 fans will be fine daisy chained together, or you can buy a molex Y cable (aka splitter) for about a quid from most PC shops.

    Just wondering...do the fans have the little 3 pin plugs on? if they do, you can plug them into the motherboard.

    Ah well, a molex splitter it is then.

    58p each, and if you buy around 40 of them, and manage 20 more posts, you'll get free shipping

    With the antec 900, they are all molex powered fans, just daisy chain the top fan and the rear mounted fan on one Molex, and the HDD caddy fans on another.

    I have the same case and basically the same PSU, i have mine set up up with two fans connected together, and then put easch 2 groups of two on either end of a 2 4pin molex lead. I dont use the fan splitter, just a normal 4pin molex

    ...........................................................-----------------[molex][fan1][fan2]
    [PSU]---normal molex lead with 2 ends-----{
    ...........................................................-----------------[Molex][fan3][fan4]
