| New mobo and ram, pc issues hi there got the kit shown in my thread and having some problems. it's slow and the dual core don't really show a mega boost over my old amd 3000 a64 chip. is my mobo and ram the issues? looking at a cheap affordable mobo and gigabyte P35 s3 or d3r one for future upgrades. my pc also crashes when i try to do more than 2 things at once and slows right up. the ram is kingston value 667 ram 2 gig. what shall i get, is the dual vsta lacking in speed and reliability or is it the ram.  Need a good lappy asap! Acer 8930g is the front runner. do i do it??? |

| I've not seen what your kit is, but first thought is that you have a CPU cooling problem - could be the fans not running, could be poor fitting of HSF. An overheating CPU will firstly run slowly as throttling kicks in, but if it's major will just crash the computer. Use Memtest86+ to check the ram. |
