| RAM Advice Need some advice please - I had 2 x 1GB Ballistix PC4000 in the setup below and was having problems - computer wouldn't boot. It worked initially on Auto Voltage (RAM) for a few days, then I had to manually change voltage to 2.8 and it worked for a few more hours and then stopped working altogether. Currently, I have 2 x 512MB Crucial PC2700 and 2 x 512MB G-Skill PC3200 sticks in the computer and these run without any issue. Asus A8N Sli Premium Seasonic Tornado 400W with 20pin ATX connector (reason I mention the 20 pin to find out if anyone thinks this may have caused issues) 6600 256MB graphics card 80GB Samsung Sata HD 1. I have now received the replacement RAM from Crucial and am wondering if I should sell it and get some Value stuff as I don't overclock. 2. Should I at least try the RAM to find out if there was an issue with the original RAM and not my computer? Thank you. |

| Re: RAM Advice Asus A8N Sli Premium doesn't seem to get along too well with Ballistix from my own experience. I had to RMA my sticks twice. Got some Corsairs in the end and game the Ballistix to my son - works in the Abit with no probs. |
