| Vista 64bit 4gb RAM Hotfix Sorry for making a new thread but I couldnt find it anywhere. Can someone point me to the number of the hotfix to enable 64bit vista to use the full 4Gb RAM? I am running windows update now but not sure if it will download throught that or not. Cheers |

| Re: Vista 64bit 4gb RAM Hotfix considering one of the prime functions of a 64bit OS is 4GB and greater ram support I'm very surprised to hear that. I've installed vista x86_64 on 2 machine both with 4GB of ram. Are you sure you've not read about certain hardware solutions not liking 64GB of ram and panicing when windows does some probe or something ? It is Inevitable.....  |

It installed ok for me with 4x1GiB, however, I'm back on XP on both machines as it really is a steaming pile of festering dog kack. Edit: The steam has now broken.
